First visited a couple of months ago and now our go-to place. It's a lovely, spacious pub and restaurant (with accommodation). Excellent friendly service, with a special mention to Lana, Sim, Annie and Darren. We're always made to feel so welcome. Nothing is too much trouble and the food and drinks are great.
Have drove past a few times and finally decided to stop off for late lunch / early dinner. Nice venue, clean and tidy. Outside would be great in the summer also. Ordered the food and it came promptly and tasted very good. Price wise, very good value and will happily visit again.
What a fabulous stay at The Vernon. Darren and his team could not have been more helpful and friendly. We had a lovely welcome when we arrived, delicious breakfast and evening meal. Fans were provided in the rooms which helped us cope with two of the hottest days this year!! Darren also helped me sort out my electric car and a puncture. Many many thanks
Never been here before we were on a drive out and stopped and so glad we did made to feel so welcome by Annie and her team the food was beautiful hot fresh and came out quickly. The atmosphere was warm and we felt right at home even though we were both in our scruffs. I would highly recommend the burger and scampi very tasty. We will definitely return as so homely.
What a gem of a hotel, could not fault anything about it, staff are fantastically polite and helpful, huge thanks to Simeon their tall, good looking ex footballer who has now found his calling as a super chef, great food and very helpful and attentive. The downstairs decor is lovely with a lot of thought having gone into it, bedroom had everything i needed and more, the floors and ceilings sloped in keeping with such an old building which really added to the charm ( such a nice change from corporate blandness), less than 10 minutes from Bromsgrove and set in beautiful green countryside with a big car park, if you want great accommodation in the area give them a visit, you will not be disappointed, and they serve Hawkstone cider too (well done Mr Clarkson, really good stuff).
Just love this place. The food is absolutely amazing. This is our ‘go to’ place each Friday now! Why? The food is great The staff are absolutely amazing (big shout out to Alana - so attentive and not forgetting Sim who is a superb chef!) The Vernon Arm is just amazing! We made a booking at the Vernon Arms for a wake after a family funeral at Westall Park, due to its location and being easy for everyone to find plus the large car park. We can’t thank all the staff enough as they made a sad day really special for us all. The buffet food was fantastic and laid out really well in our private area away from the main bar (purple room). Everyone commented on how good the food was and that there was plenty of variety. Thank you all again.
Myself and my wife visited the Vernon arms this weekend for a bite to eat and a drink. The staff were extremely welcoming and the food was wonderful. The restaurant had a wonderful ambience and was full of character. From start to finish we were made to feel welcome and the staff were all smiling which is a rare site to see these days. We will definitely return for food again.
